Several minors were detained in Canyon Country following a fight that turned stabbing in Newhall on Tuesday night, according to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials.
According to Lt. Richard O’Neal, a spokesman for the SCV Sheriff’s Station, a call for service was received regarding a fight involving several minors at 23720 Valle Del Oro in Newhall around 5 p.m. Tuesday.
Upon arriving at the scene, according to O’Neal, deputies learned that a minor had been stabbed during the altercation. The stabbed miner, along with others, fled by car.
Deputies stopped the vehicle at Center Pointe Parkway and Carl Boyer Drive around 5:16 p.m., according to O’Neal.
Los Angeles County Fire Department medical determines the minor suffered superficial stab wounds to the hand and ribs. According to O’Neal, the miner then went to Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital for treatment.
Three juvenile suspects were arrested in the vehicle.
