SEATTLE, WASH. – Seattle Sounders FC announced today that the club is hosting a viewing party in support of the United States Men’s National Team at the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ in their opening game of the group stage against Wales on Monday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT at the Seattle Center Armory. This free event gives fans of all ages the opportunity to join Sounders FC in cheering on the stars and stripes as they face off in the FIFA World Cup for the first time since 2014.

Watch parties are being held for all three USA group stage games, including USA vs England (Friday, November 25 at 11:00 a.m. PT) and USA vs Iran ( Tuesday, November 29 at 11:00 a.m. PT). Admission is free and offered on a first-come, first-served basis with one entry for each game beginning at 9:00 a.m. PT and continuing until the Armory reaches capacity.

Sounders FC midfielder and Federal Way native Kelly Rowe will be present at Monday’s event. The 11-year MLS veteran has over 300 professional appearances, in addition to six career caps for the United States Men’s National Team. Rowe is available for media interviews upon request.

Those who come to the parties can be delighted to watch the matches on a giant screen in an electric group atmosphere. Sounders FC also provides pre-match musical entertainment, interactive games and a variety of ways to earn exciting prizesincluding an authentic framed USMNT jersey, limited-edition adidas Ultraboost x COPA Sounders FC shoes and more.

Additional giveaways and special prizes include:

  • The Puyallup Tribe’s Emerald Queen Casino is offering a one-night stay at its new EQC Tacoma hotel, as well as a $100 food credit at Slahal, the hotel’s exclusive rooftop restaurant.

For each surveillance evening, all the Armory catering outlets will be open, with a supplement beer garden space offered to participants aged 21 and over. Additionally, the first 1,500 guests to attend each watch party can receive a Sounders Themed World Cup Rally Towelwhile the first 300 Sounders FC Subscribers attending each watch party will receive a exclusive Sounders themed World Cup long sleeve t-shirt.

Fans can also participate in the recently announced announcement MLS Qatar Quest Bracket Challengewhich gives the opportunity to fill a slice to win big prizes.

Sounders FC striker Jordan Morris and midfield Christian Rollan were both included in the final 26-man roster for the United States men’s national team, announced earlier this month, marking the first FIFA World Cup call-up for either other player. After Clint Dempsey and DeAndre Yedlin were named to the squad in 2014, Sounders FC are the only club side to have selected multiple players for the USMNT in each of their last two World Cup appearances. With Xavier Arreaga (Ecuador) and Nouhou (Cameroon) also traveling to Qatar, these are the most active Sounders FC players ever selected for a single FIFA World Cup, with the Seattle four ranking third among all MLS teams this year. The 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ begins on November 20 and ends on December 18.

At the end of the matches on November 25 and 29, fans are encouraged to explore Seattle Center Winter Festival, presented by Symetra. From November 25 to December 31, this world of twinkling lights, fun and bustling entertainment comes to life for five weeks and includes shows, a train and winter village, an annual campus lighting expo and a celebration.
