A woman charged with murder after allegedly using an ice pick to stab a teenager in Riversdale, St Catherine on November 5 has been granted $700,000 bail.

Donel Davis, 26, otherwise known as Dora, appeared in St. Catherine Parish Court on Friday.

Her lawyer, Tamika Harris, told senior parish judge Desiree Alleyne that her client was not at risk of fleeing, had surrendered to police and had a stable home.

Bail was granted on the condition that Davis surrender his travel documents and return to court on March 14, 2023.

It is alleged that Davis had an argument with 18-year-old bricklayer Dane Stephenson, otherwise known as ‘Tie Tie’, of Riversdale in the parish, during which she used an ice pick to stab him in the chest.

He was taken to hospital where he was admitted.

Stephenson succumbed to his injuries on November 6.

Davis then turned herself in to Riversdale police and was charged.
