The Red Arrows members were fired following an investigation into allegations of bullying, misogyny and sexual harassment.

The RAF revealed yesterday that while the ‘unacceptable behaviour’ inquiry found ‘no criminal cases to respond’, there had been some ‘dismissals’ of staff.

Earlier this year, more than 40 members testified for 250 hours as part of the investigation, describing the aerobatic team as “toxic”.

The alleged victims were told that if they spoke they would be sent home or expelled from the RAF.

It has been claimed that bosses have ignored complaints for years in order to protect the reputations of those seen as “untouchable”.

The survey recommended a number of measures to improve behaviors and culture within the Red Arrows.

The unit has already received training on “unacceptable behaviors and ‘Walk on By’ cultures”.

A statement from The Red Arrows said: ‘The Special Investigations branch of RAF Police have investigated specific allegations and although there have been no criminal cases to respond to, we are continuing to review the circumstances. which led to the investigation.

“To date, several RAF personnel have been investigated as part of the RAF’s major administrative action proceedings.

“These investigations led to a range of results up to and including RAF dismissals.”

He added: “It is important that unacceptable behavior is spoken out and reported where and when it occurs.

“We take all allegations of unacceptable behavior very seriously and will continue to take decisive action against anyone who fails to meet our high standards, in accordance with the Department of Defense’s zero tolerance policy.”
