Wales captain Gareth Bale is looking to deliver a different kind of kick with his latest business venture.

The 33-year-old, who is expected to lead his country against the United States in their World Cup opener on Monday, has made a “significant investment” in the Penderyn distillery, which has restarted whiskey production in the UK. Wales.

Bale will become one of the company’s 61 shareholders and the company plans to do some celebratory drinks in his name.

Bale said: “Everyone knows how proud I am to be Welsh and so it’s a privilege to be able to invest and become an ambassador for such an amazing Welsh brand.”
