TikTok star Tanya Pardazi has died after a skydiving accident, aged 21.

The budding beauty queen, who once competed at Miss Canada, died over the weekend after sustaining life-threatening injuries after her jump.

Reportedly, she was attending her first solo class in Ontario on August 27.

It is believed that she opened her parachute too late on the descent, when tragedy struck.

Pardazi was rushed for treatment with serious injuries and was pronounced dead in hospital.

“A 21-year-old skydiving student has succumbed to fatal injuries resulting from an emergency situation,” a statement from Skydive Toronto confirmed. “The skydiver dropped a fast-spinning main parachute at low altitude without the time/altitude required for the reserve parachute to inflate.

“The Skydive Toronto team are currently working with South Simcoe Police on their investigation.

“The jumper has been a welcome recent addition to the skydiving community and will be missed by the student’s new friends and fellow jumpers at Skydive Toronto Inc.

“The Skydive Toronto Inc team has been deeply affected by this accident as it has refined its student training program for over 50 years.”

A spokesperson for the South Simcoe Police Department said in a statement that an investigation is currently underway to determine what happened.

Pardazi was studying a philosophy course at the University of Toronto at the time of his death.

She rose to fame after competing in the Miss Canada beauty pageant in 2017, where she qualified for the semi-finals.

On top of that, she claimed nearly 100,000 followers on TikTok, where she posted under the handle Philosatea.

After news of her death emerged, fans flocked to the comments under her latest upload – where she mentioned recently skydiving – to pay their respects.

“Rest in peace my friend,” one commented. “I’m sorry you were taken from us so soon. I hope the afterlife is everything you imagined and more, until we meet again.

“I literally can’t believe she’s gone. I never met her but she was a great inspiration to me. rest in peace,” agreed another.

‘You were such a shrewd person. So much wisdom remains with you. Please share as much as you can. beautiful RIP [sic]”, said a TikTok user.

As a follower, he simply added: ‘Rest in peace my beautiful. The world will miss you.’
