Lisandro Martinez says he enjoys playing alongside Raphael Varane

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag chose the same starting XI for a third game in a row as the side picked up a third win.

Key to the team’s success is a new defensive focus, with Lisandro Martinez and Raphael Varane forging a strong partnership at the back.

The Argentine and the Frenchman seem to complement each other well, with United conceding just one goal in the three matches they have played together.

Manchester United fans love to watch them and the duo are very happy to play together.

Martinez enjoys playing alongside Varane

Varane posted on Instagram following United’s 1-0 win over Leicester. He is now preparing to potentially start a fourth game in a row this weekend against Arsenal.

Following an injury in the first season following his £34million transfer from Real Madrid, United are currently seeing the best of the France international.

Martinez seems assured of playing alongside Varane, and he was one of the teammates to reach out to the centre-back on Instagram after the win.

The Argentine wrote “what a pleasure to play next to your brother”, showing the growing camaraderie and respect between the two.

In a separate message, Martinez also praised Diogo Dalot, describing him as a “machine”.

The former Ajax star is becoming a quick success himself at Old Trafford, he won the club’s Player of the Month award for August and he was also chosen by his new boy Antony as a player he like to watch.
