Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had a phone call with his Saudi counterpart Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and briefed him on the extent of the damage caused by floods and torrential monsoon rains in Pakistan .
“I had a phone call with @FaisalbinFarhanupdated HH on the extent of the damage caused by floods and torrential monsoon rains in Pakistan,” Bilawal wrote on his official Twitter account on Friday.
He also thanked Saudi Arabia for its strong expression of solidarity and continued assistance to those affected by the floods.
Meanwhile, a high-level Turkish delegation, sent by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, visited Pakistan to express solidarity and lend support after the devastating floods in the country.
The delegation will also carry out an aerial visit to the areas of the country affected by the floods.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif received Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanism and Climate Change Murat Kurum, Chairman of Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management (AFAD) , the Director General of the Turkish Low Cost Housing Agency (TOKI) and the delegations in Islamabad.

A surge of water rushed down the Indus River on Thursday, threatening further devastation in a country already flooded by a third, in a growing disaster blamed on climate change.
The Pakistan Army’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), said in a statement that 200 helicopter sorties flew to various parts of the country to evacuate stranded people and also transport rations and medication.
“1,991 stranded people have been evacuated and 162.6 tonnes of relief items have been delivered to flood-affected people in the past 24 hours,” he added.
Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz had discussions with Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Chairman of National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Lt. Gen. Akhtar Nawaz, rescue, relief and rehabilitation operations in flood-affected areas.
