Stagecoach unveils new bus to support those serving in the armed forces

The special livery bus is Stagecoach’s first vehicle to be uniquely branded in support of the Armed Forces Covenant and will operate in the North West region of England.

It will also be used for various events throughout the year including Remembrance Day and Armed Forces Day where those in the military or who have served can travel for free on all Stagecoach services across the UK .

The Armed Forces Covenant-branded bus, as well as Stagecoach’s commitment to providing free travel to military and ex-military personnel on key dates, comes from its newly created network of veteran employees.

Simon Tramalloni, Chief Operating Officer and Co-Head of Stagecoach Veterans Network, said, “It gives me great pleasure and immense pride in how the company recognizes those who have served our country with our group of veterans.

“This newly branded bus is another clear message to people that we fully support our armed forces and have a place in our network for those considering joining Stagecoach or already working with us.

“This achievement is credited to the determination and drive of our network and its members and we will continue our commitment to all Defense personnel and veterans with the goal of achieving Gold Employer status in the coming years and will continue our support for the Armed Forces and our fellow veterans.

Sam Berkson, National Account Manager for Defense Relations Management, said, “I would like to thank Stagecoach for this public and highly visible commitment to the military community.

“It’s clear that Stagecoach recognizes the benefits of being a respectful employer of the Forces.
