Arsenal are trying to complete a deadline-day deal for Club Brugge’s Noa Lang, according to journalist Rudy Galetti.
The Gunners are reportedly looking for a new winger and midfielder in the final hours of the transfer window.
Galetti took to Twitter to claim Lang is a “last minute” name on Arsenal’s transfer list today.
The Gunners “will try to get a deal for a winger in the final hours, although it’s quite complicated,” he added.
Lang would be a good call for Arsenal, a talented and versatile young player with a high ceiling.
The 23-year-old Dutch international has held every position in midfield and up front in his career.
Most of his appearances have been on the left (91).
However, he also played 30 times as a centre-forward or second striker.
Lang also played 29 times in central midfield, 20 times as a No.10 and 30 times on the right wing.
“Good combination with Saka”
Last year, sports journalist and Club Brugge observer Bart Lagae tipped the former Ajax ace to shine for Arsenal.
He feels Lang would be superb playing in a top three with Bukayo Saka and a centre-forward.
Lagae also believes the Brugge gem could also play on the right, deeming it “better” than Nicolas Pepe.
“I think for Arsenal it is [Lang] can play on both wings,” Lagae told The Arsenal Way of football.london.
“For example, on the right, in the position of Nicolas Pepe.
“I would say he is even more focused on goals and assists than Pepe. He’s probably a better player.
“He can have a good combination with Saka. Saka the errand player and Lang the setter.
“Lang doesn’t go deep without the ball; he always asks for the ball.
“So I think having him in combination with Saka and a striker…would work really well.”
