A 14-year-old girl suffered “serious” injuries after being stabbed at a school in south Manchester, and a boy of the same age has been arrested.
The Chorlton and Didsbury Division of Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said officers were called to report an incident at Parrs Wood High School on Tuesday afternoon.
A teenage girl was found with ‘serious but non-fatal injuries’ believed to have been caused by a ‘sharp object’, the force said.
She was transported to hospital for treatment and is being cared for by specialized agents.
A 14-year-old boy was arrested at school in Wilmslow Road, East Didsbury, and taken for questioning.
GMP said it was working with local authorities and the school to support the children affected by the incident.
