The trial of three men accused of murdering a motorcyclist on the A38 has entered its final stages with the judge summarizing the evidence presented over the past two weeks.

Benjamin Parry, 42, of Wright Close in Devonport, was driving the Ford Transit van when it collided with a large motorcycle on May 12 this year. Meanwhile, Chad Brading, 36, from Wright Close, Devonport, and Thomas Pawley, 32, from Heather Walk, Ivybridge, were in a black Mercedes following the biker. All three deny the charge of murder by joint venture.

Mr Crawford, 59, was seen hitting the bonnet of the Transit first before flying through the air as the van continued to move forward. Mr Crawford then fell under the van and was dragged up to a mile on the slipway. along the A38 and was eventually dislodged as Parry turned left towards the Devonport siding.

Mr Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics. Courtroom updates will appear below. This is a live blog.
