Callum Beattie fans got a surprise at his Glasgow gig when he brought a Still Game star on stage to perform with him.

The 33-year-old singer-songwriter performed to crowds in a sold-out show at SWG3 on Wednesday night.

During the concert, Callum announced that he would invite a special guest on stage – Paul Riley.

Known to many as grumpy but lovable pensioner Winston Ingram on the BBC series, Paul was greeted by cheers from the crowd as he walked onto stage wearing a kilt and holding a guitar.

Callum told the audience: “Ladies and gentlemen, we know him as Paul Riley.

“You may know him as Winston from Still Game.”

A video shared on TikTok shows Paul and Callum performing a cover version of David Bowie’s Heroes to an ecstatic crowd.

At the end of the song, the Salamander Street singer exclaimed “f*** me, that was fun.”

Callum recently thanked his fans for their support and told how “humbled” he felt to go from selling 48 tickets in Glasgow to 3,000 in two years.
