FLORENCE + The Machine have postponed the rest of their UK tour after Florence Welch broke her foot.
In a statement on Instagram, the singer said an x-ray revealed she was “dancing on a broken foot” during last night’s show at London’s O2 Arena.
As a result, the rest of the tour has been postponed, with dates pushed back to next year, to “avoid further damage”.
The band were due to play Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on Sunday November 27 and those with tickets have been urged to hold onto them.

Florence wrote: “So sorry to say that after an x-ray it looks like I danced on a broken foot last night.
“It’s not in my nature to postpone a show, and certainly not a UK tour, but I’m in pain and as dancers know, dancing over an injury is not a good idea.
“And they were told not to happen to avoid further damage.
She continued: “Please hold on to your tickets.
“We are working our best to reschedule these dates for next year and will let you know as soon as possible.
“I’m heartbroken because the Dance Fever tour was my favorite show we’ve ever put on.
“Communion with you. Your beautiful faces shine.
“I love you so much and I’m so sorry to anyone who’s disappointed. My heart is hurting me.
“I can’t wait to be back on my feet and in your arms again.”
