A man has been arrested following a reported stabbing in Worcester.
West Mercia Police have confirmed that a man in his 20s has been arrested after reports of an assault at St Mark’s Close on Thursday September 8.
Police and ambulance services were called to the usually quiet street.
Midlands Air Ambulance also landed nearby.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called to a report of a stabbing in St Marks Close, Worcester at 4.10pm.
“Crews treated a man at the scene who suffered serious injuries before being transported by ground ambulance with blue lights to hospital for further emergency treatment.”

Police blocked an alley near St Mark’s Close
An ambulance, paramedic, critical care paramedic and Midlands Air Ambulance from Strensham were all present.
Police officers remained in the area for a few hours after the incident, carrying out door-to-door investigations.
A West Mercia spokesman said: “At approximately 4pm today we received a report of an assault on St Mark’s Close, Worcester.
“We attended with the West Midlands Ambulance Service and a man was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham with a serious injury.
“No other injuries have been reported and there is no wider risk to the public.”

St Mark’s Close resident Leon Harris said: “Basically I was just in the house and heard that scream.
“I looked outside and the guy was screaming and walking around.
“He came down the road right in front of my house and I heard him scream ‘I’ve been stabbed, I’ve been stabbed.
“He was holding a trash can and a girl came to help him
“Then he said ‘I have to lie down’ and then he fell on the floor
“It was really shocking, especially for this neighborhood.”
Another neighbor said: “I had just come home from work and was having tea in the back garden.
“It’s normally a very quiet street. You don’t expect to look outside and see all those police officers.”
There has been no update on the victim’s condition yet.
