Burnley have ruled out selling star man Josh Brownhill on deadline day, 90 minutes understand.
A number of Premier League clubs have followed the former Bristol City midfielder, who started the new league season in spectacular fashion.
Brownhill is proving to be one of the best players outside of the top flight, and it has sparked transfer interest on the final day of the window with Wolves, Southampton, Leeds and Everton all showing strong interest.
However, Burnley have now decided they cannot sell the player given his performance, regardless of the size of the offer.
Burnley boss Vincent Kompany has previously said it would have taken something outrageous to persuade him to let his captain go.
“I said it would have to be an offer where everyone at the club gives each other high fives and we can afford a trip for all the staff and can afford a week’s holiday,” Kompany said.
“There is nothing outrageous that has happened to us.”
So far this season, Brownhill has netted four goals and an assist in Burnley’s opening seven games, underlining how important he is to the Clarets.
