SOUTHAMPTON winger Nathan Redmond has been offered to Cherries, according to multiple sources.
TalkSPORT, Athletic and BBC Radio Solent have all reported the 28-year-old is surplus to requirements at St Mary’s, paving the way for a possible late move to Dorset.
Both clubs have already done business on deadline day, with Jack Stephens joining Cherries on a season-long loan from the Saints.
Because of the deal, any transfer for Redmond will have to be permanent, with Premier League clubs unable to take two players on loan from the same club at once.
As such, it has been suggested that the Saints terminate Redmond’s contract, allowing him to move to Vitality Stadium as a free agent.
Redmond has played just one minute of Premier League football for Saints this season, coming off the bench in their opening day loss at Tottenham Hotspur.
In total, he played 232 games for the Saints, scoring 30 times. He made 264 Premier League appearances, having also played for Norwich City in the top flight.
A winger is clearly the priority in the closing hours of the window, with BBC Radio Solent reporting that moves for Daniel James from Leeds United, Noa Lang from Club Brugge and Christian Kouamé from Fiorentina have all been pushed back.
Reports from Bristol City suggest Cherries also saw a £10m bid rejected for striker Antoine Semenyo.
