And the damned of relegation are wrong

After just a few games in League One for the first time in 10 years, Exeter City striker Jevani Brown has reflected on critics who predicted the team would be in a relegation battle this season.

He says they have settled into the new division very well and are far from struggling.

But Exeter had an inconsistent start: two wins, two draws and two losses.

Their first game back was a 1-1 draw with Lincoln City, followed by a 4-0 win over newly-promoted Port Vale, who had progressed through the promotion playoffs.

Brown is enjoying life in Ligue 1 and hopes that if he continues to play the way he does, he could be called up to Jamaica again.

The striker says that with Matt Taylor’s confidence to play, it gives him an extra boost to do well in games.

Surprisingly, he says he finds Ligue 2 more physical and more difficult, although he expected to play against more competitive clubs.

Host City MK Dons this Saturday, and Brown’s main thing is to train hard to be in the starting 11 for the game.

He says he is still focused on the next game and ways to improve from previous games.

With the team performing, Brown says “the boys have started off very well” and that they are very focused and very capable of doing anything.
