The Queen Consort will attend a “special teddy bear picnic” organized by a children’s charity. During the event, Camilla will hand out Paddington Bear soft toys, among other stuffed animals, which have been left as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II at royal residences.

The former monarch died on September 8 at what would have been one of her favorite residences.

More than 1,000 Paddingtons and teddy bears left as a tribute to Queen Elizabeth are now to be donated to Barnardo Children’s Services.

Some of them will be handed over personally to the children supported by the association during a visit to Bow Nursery in London on November 24.

Her Majesty will also join Barnardo’s children and staff for a picnic, “alongside key figures from the world of Paddington”, according to Buckingham Palace.

The Royal Family’s official Twitter page reported: ‘Next week The Queen Consort will attend a special teddy bear picnic at a Bernardo nursery to deliver Paddington bears and other soft toys that have been left behind. tribute to Queen Elizabeth in royal residences and royal parks. ”

Another post shared photos of Paddington in and around Clarence House and Buckingham Palace.

Last year Barnardo’s supported over 382,000 children, young people, parents and carers through over 790 services and partnerships across the UK.

Hailing the charity’s work, Buckingham Palace said: “Barnardo works to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and every year the charity helps thousands of families build a better future.”

The Royal Family, ahead of the visit scheduled for next week, also shared a photo of Camilla among the songs of the Paddingtons man.

He said “the bears were cleaned up to their best before arriving in their new home.”
